Universal Monsters Online

so after the mummy online was cancelled i moved onto monsters
it is a moba....if you are familiar at all with league of legends it is very similar except with classic monster characters and so much much better

i was only on this project for a couple of months but my job was to finish the level...from layout to populating it with prop placement and then adding env effects like fog, window decals and glow effects.
i aslo made the destructible objects for the game...all the key objects have several damage states to them and all objects are key frame animated...that way it saved space by not having to make rigs for them all




i stitched these videos together so they are not perfect...but in game they look great

for the full effect with VFX and music so once again...check out the game sometime.

outsourcing test

as well as working"the day job" i am part of an outsource company set up by someone i worked with for several years at planet moon

this is an art test we did for kabam 

as the nature of this project is model and texture everything and them finally render it down to 2d image...i used way more polygons than i would if it were to be a 3d game used mesh...then i would of aimed for something around 3 - 5000...but i have worked on this type of game before and as the polycount and textures are ultimately irrelievent going overboard on polys to add detail is fine
i worked on a previous project that was a facebook vampire mmo which was done in the same way

The Mummy Online


this is/was a unity based mmo game.
Production was cancelled but the game is still live for users to play
i worked on several more levels but as we upgraded to unity 3.5 right before production was cancelled all the levels need to be relight so when i get to that i will post shots of the other levels

Trenched

so this is was work i did on doublefines game - trenched or iron brigade as it has now been renamed
i was given a basic terrain layout with a few objects placed for the major points of interest.
I painted in all the terrain detail and populated the level with props..decided where to paint grass etc..
i made some custom models but a lot of it was reworking something that existed
